Are You Receiving Revelation from God or Satan?

What is the Third Eye and why should Christians know about it. There is such a hunger to be in connection with God that the body of Christ is stepping into experience through eastern modalities to feel the presence of God. Are they truly feeling the presence of God? Lets read!

First let's look at Wikipedia:

The 3rd or Inner Eye - A metaphysical opening which refers to the 6th chakra (brow), that leads to higher consciousness. A new age symbol of enlightenment.

Okay... so the Third Eye is a psychic ability connected to the occult. Dictionary.com defines occult as knowledge of secret or supernatural powers, beyond the the range of ordinary senses, or secret/hidden information only available to the initiated.

Next we need to know how one "opens" this Third Eye. The main way that one opens himself up to the spirit realm, is through meditation. It is through meditation that one achieves an altered state of consciousness. Constantly you will find that meditation, or the emptying of one's mind, going to a dream state (Theta Brain Waves) is the doorway to all metaphysical activity.

Back to the 6th chakra. The chakras usually relate to yoga, but not always. The 6th chakra in yoga is the brow. When kundalini (serpent power) rises to the the brow, there is enlightenment that is characterized by light. Those using yoga as a means of enlightenment get results by meditation, forced breathing patterns and using unnatural positions to force the power at the base of the spine upwards with the crown chakra as the main goal.

Another way enlightenment occurs is through meditation and visualization. Certain techniques are used to "see" and direct the serpent power up the spine through the chakras (nerve centers/wheels).

Here is another description. The kundalini rises and then goes into the brain and then down into the pituitary gland which awakens the pineal gland. When they meet there is union. This is an initiation of the birth of passage into another dimension and beyond. This is supposed to cause an explosion of light.

The third eye is also known as:

The middle eye of Shiva in Buddhism.

In Hinduism it is the eye of clairvoyance. This Hindus wear the Tilak. The red spot between the brows. When i was researching my Goddess Worship post, i looked at a link, describing Christian women who have been applying the red spot on their forehead and worshipping each other's divinity.

In Egypt it is known as The Eye of Horus or the Eye of Osiris.

In Freemasonry, it is the All Seeing Eye. The same one that is found on our one dollar bill. This All Seeing Eye is surrounded by light.

But the eye usually means the same...esoteric knowledge that man so desires. This eye represents the passing into a spiritual world than man has no business entering.

In Genesis 3:5-7 For God doth know..then your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as Gods...knowing Good and Evil....And the eyes of them both opened.

The Hebrew word for eyes is not plural but singular so what the serpent said was that their eye would be broadened by knowledge. Scripture here is not talking about the physical organ but the eye of the soul.

So for today...opening yourself up or opening your third eye is the same. It is opening a gate between two worlds. Meditation is a sure way of accomplishing this opening up of yourself especially through Contemplative prayer and through Soaking by going into a dream state with the help of new age music. This is simply meditation masked with Christian terminology.

Music. God's music causes you to honor him and praise him with your mind and heart. New age music causes you to want to go inside yourself or to float.

I have been reading a manual for opening the third eye from, "The Awakening of the Third Eye" by Samuel Sagan.

It immediately states that meditation is not for relaxation, and that the third eye is the gate that leads within.

Exodus 20:5 tells us that He is a jealous God! Yet, Believers are being encouraged to participate in techniques which our God has forbidden. Sadly it is not unusual for our naive youngsters to be taught these techniques in the public school system today.

Here are some quotes:

"Developing the third eye is a direct way of expanding your conscious universe and discovering your essential values, so that you may fathom your own mystery." (page 13)

"Suppose an angel comes to you, truly. If you have been trying to visualize angels every morning for a few months how will you know whether it is a true angel or one that you made up...The real problem is, once these visions come to you, how to discern what is real from what is a fancy of the mind" (page 18)

I thought this was very interesting..he was acknowledging that visualization created visions from your own making.

"You see the universe and it's finality completely different...It is not what you believe or what you have read that will change your spiritual life..it is what you can experience directly." (page 18)

[See how a change of worldview is suggested here and the Bible eliminated]

"Whenever there is a vibration or a light, there is a being behind it" (page 160)

[The Bible tells us that Satan comes as a white light]

"What to do with an angel? Let its glory become alive in you...to worship a god first you have to become a god." (page 161)

[How many times have we seen this? Almost all communications from the spirit world tell us that we are as gods, just like the serpent in Genesis]

"This tragedy is quite common. There are many people who seem to be desperate for spiritual progress. They go on crying 'I wish God could help me'...and if you look above them, what can you see? Guides and angels who keep whispering 'Please tune into us, please receive our light'...If these people could tune in, they would immediately receive a shower of spiritual gifts." (page 185)

[Light? We already know what the "light" is in the metaphysical world. It is Satan. And this shower of spiritual gifts?..hmmm..]

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Have you ever read the prophecies of those on the Elijah list? Have you ever had someone tell you that they have a continual conversation with God throughout the day? Have you listened to those who proclaim to the world that their visions are from God? Have you ever heard a prophet say that he could forgive your sins for you? Have you ever heard a TV evangelist say that "I am a God"? Have you ever attended a meeting where the "spiritual" gifts are so numerous that chaos erupts?

I do believe that spiritual gifts are available to us today...i also believe that many are the products of divination, and are false. We have to discern what is God's truth and what is man's truth. The Bible is the deciding factor.

Is it possible that some Christians and some who claim to be Christian have opened themselves up to demonic forces and truly believe they are hearing from God, but are not? YES! That spirit guides and angels you have summoned from another metaphysical realm are holy? NO!

In a world that is giving way to a New Age, a new spiritual mysticism, we have to, as Christians, discern what is from God and what is not. We are to test the spirits.

I John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

I beg of you..do not practice anything that is at all similar to eastern meditation. Meditation is the common factor to all metaphysical and ungodly methods. If you have ....stop and repent.....ask God's forgiveness.

The goal of the New Age is to unite all religions. Hold strong onto your faith in Jesus Christ. I know many reject this but.... He is indeed THE ONLY WAY.

John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Also remember that Satan is a great counterfeiter and deceiver. He imitates the things of Christ. Satan is not the light. The Lord Jesus Christ is.

So this verse bears repeating.

What does a person get when they do a type of meditation not from God?
Spirit guides that can look like angels, a jesus, dead people from the bible, or lost relatives will appear to talk, etc. Most of the time it is revelation you feel is from God but in reality is from the second heaven. One example of a "God force" is the Kundalini force which activates Shakti, a force that is said to be coiled like a serpent at the base of the spine. When you meditate going inward, foating into a dream state, you awaken the kundalini inside your spine which travels u to the base of your neck. This is when you feel the sensations and have revelations. The biggest problem for a believer is you become very demon infested.

Symptoms of opening your third eye:
You can have one or several of these symptoms: A band around your head, confusion, not able to discern the voice of God, not able to focus on work, easily distracted, not able to read the word of God without falling asleep, complacency, intrucive thoughts, a more heightened fear of evil, paranoia, etc.

Beware: There is a movement (Latter Day Rain Movement, Emerging Church Movement, Joel Company, etc.) and they are truly called The Christian Gnostics practiced a spirituality more similar to Eastern traditions than to the Western Christianity we know today. "Gnostic" is Greek for "knower" and it is "Gnosis" or "Knowledge" that they were seeking. Unlike the blind faith demanded by today's Churches, 'Gnosis' meant direct, mystical experience of the divine, which was to be found by individual spiritual evolution to Self-Realization, and not within the confines of intellectual dogma. The experience of Gnosis was trans-rational and non-intellectual.

What is the difference between how the new agers do meditation and God's way?

We see several occasions in the Bible where God's children are meditating on His goodness, His deeds, and His Word.

 The Bible says to meditate on the Word of God. Psalm 1:2 says, "But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night." Psalm 119:97 says. "Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long." Joshua 1:8 reads, "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."

The Bible says to meditate on the works of God. Deuteronomy 32:4 says, "He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he."

The Bible says to meditate on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2-3 reads, "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

The Bible says to meditate on things that are pleasing to God. Psalm 19:14 says, "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer."

The Bible says to meditate on eternal things. Colossians 3:2 reads, "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."

Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things."

These children of God are filling their minds with thoughts of Him.  His love for them.  His glory.  His teaching.  And the miracles that He has already done in their lives and the lives of others.

I love Psalm 1 because it reveals God's promise for those of us willing to discipline our minds through Bible meditation.  It says that we will bear fruit, and that everything we do shall prosper.

Christian meditations are one of the most effective ways of moving God's Word from your head to your heart.  Meditation is both the most vital AND the most forgotten piece of every Christians Bible study puzzle. God's word will protect you from:

1. error because you will know what he expects from you
2. to hear the voice of God and know Him
3. and to receive His revelation of who he is and who you are in Christ through meditating on God's word.

God tells us to:

Joshua 1:8 "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

In the Old Testament there are two primary Hebrew words for meditation. Haga, which means to utter, groan, meditate, or ponder. Sihach, which means to muse, rehearse in one's mind, or contemplate. These words can also be translated as dwell, diligently consider, and heed.

We all want the prosperity, but are we willing to do what it takes to get it? It never says to blank your mind or to go to stillness of your mind. In fact Joshua gives a great scripture on how to meditate. Through this way, you will receive God's revelation through His word from logos to rehma. It is chewing on the word of God and then listening by discussing it with the Lord through his holy spirit. That means your mind and heart is active. When you do soaking and/or contemplative, you end up shutting your mind and heart off and going inside into an altered state of consciousness (a dream like state). That is not of God and never intented. It causes a Christian to become addicted to experience vs. the word of God of Truth.

Are you willing to develop the discipline of Bible meditation?

Conclusion:
Let me ask you these questions:

• What is satan up to today?
• Can he not be omnipresent?
• Does he want to control your mind and make you a slave?
• What was Adam and Eve like before the Fall? Did n't they have a God conscious and no open doors and that is why satan showed up physically to them?
• How about after the fall - didn't they suddenly feel fear, feel naked, etc. Who was now talking to them?

The issue here is Satan will trick the church into modalities so that he can get a stronghold in your life. If he can control you and deceive you, then you will not be able to discern when the Antichrist comes on the scene.

If you aren't serious about being a follower of Jesus, you will not be interested in most of what is being taught on meditation today. That means you will be a follower of God and not man. Meditating on the Word of God - not to be confused with the "mind-emptying meditation" of eastern religions - involves actively thinking about what God says - learning it, understanding it, and applying it to one's life.

Pray daily that the Lord will give you discernment in these last days of great deception.
